Most booking system pricing pages are a feature table thirty rows long. You read to the end and still can’t say how much your own shop would pay.
In reality, two things make prices differ: how many stylists the shop has, and whether the shop wants the system to message its customers. The rest is detail. This post uses the prices of QueueD, a barbershop booking system as the example, because those are numbers we can stand behind.
Four plans and their prices
Prices are in Thai baht as of the date of writing. See current prices on the pricing page.
- Free ฿0: 1 stylist, 5 services, 60 bookings a month.
- Basic ฿199 a month or ฿1,890 a year: 3 stylists, LINE notifications, a sales summary report for this month or the last 7 days.
- Pro ฿690 a month or ฿6,600 a year: 8 stylists, plus detailed reports (booking status, busy times, customers, stylist performance, custom date range) and data import and export.
- Business ฿1,490 a month or ฿14,280 a year: unlimited stylists, 2 branches included.
Paid plans have no limit on services or bookings. Paying yearly costs about 20% less than paying monthly twelve times. For example, Basic paid monthly for a year is ฿2,388; paid yearly it’s ฿1,890.
There’s no setup fee.
What the Free plan has, and what it lacks
The Free plan isn’t a trial. You can keep using it with no end date. It includes the full booking schedule, the shop’s booking link, the customer list, and a count of how often each customer didn’t show up for their appointment.
What it doesn’t have: LINE notifications, sales reports, data import and export, and multiple branches.
The limit worth thinking hard about is 60 bookings a month. Cancelled bookings don’t count. A one-stylist shop taking three customers a day will hit the limit before the end of the month. Once at the limit, the shop can’t add new bookings until the new month starts or it upgrades.
For a shop that has just opened, or one that takes few advance bookings because most customers walk in, the Free plan is enough. For a shop whose main income comes from bookings, it isn’t.
How to pay
Every billing cycle, the shop pays by itself through the payment page, choosing between PromptPay (Thailand’s instant bank transfer by QR code), mobile banking and e-wallet.
No card is stored, and nothing is charged automatically. The upside is that money never leaves your account without you pressing the button. The downside is that the shop has to pay by itself every cycle.
If payment is due and hasn’t been made, there’s a short grace period. After that, the shop is moved down to the Free plan. Its data stays. If at that point the shop has more stylists or services than the Free plan allows, the shop owner chooses which ones to keep. The system doesn’t choose for you.
Changing plans and cancelling
- Upgrading takes effect immediately, and the new price is charged from the next billing cycle.
- Downgrading takes effect on the next billing date. Until then you keep the full current plan, and you can cancel the downgrade up to that date.
- Cancelling is done in ตั้งค่า > แพ็กเกจ > แผน (Settings > Package > Plan). The shop works as normal until the end of the billing cycle it has paid for. After that, the shop’s data is kept for another 90 days.
Shops with more than one branch
Basic and Pro include 1 branch; each extra branch is ฿300 a month or ฿3,000 a year. Business includes 2 branches; each extra branch is ฿500 a month or ฿5,000 a year. The Free plan can’t add branches.
The stylist limit is counted per branch. A Basic shop with two branches can have 3 stylists at each branch.
Costs not included in this price
Notifications are sent through the shop’s own LINE Official Account, and every message counts towards LINE’s quota. If the shop needs to send more than LINE’s free quota, it has to buy a LINE plan itself and pay LINE directly, not QueueD. How to connect is in our post on booking through LINE.
What QueueD doesn’t have
- No SMS. The only way to notify customers is LINE.
- No deposit collection.
- No automatic renewal, as explained above.
Which plan to choose
- Count the stylists who actually take bookings, including those who only come in some days. That number rules out the plans that are too small straight away.
- Ask yourself whether customers often skip their bookings. If they do, LINE notifications are the reason to pay for Basic.
- Start with the smallest plan that’s enough. Upgrades take effect immediately, so there’s no need to buy extra headroom.
Try QueueD free for 14 days. No card needed, and the Free plan stays available after the trial ends.
